About Xagan

Xagan completed her Bachelor’s degree in Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam, after which she completed her Master’s in Corporate Law at the same university. Additionally, Xagan studied law for several months at Universitas Indonesia in Jakarta.

During and after her Master’s program, Xagan worked at a mid-sized law firm in Rotterdam. During her time there, she gained extensive experience in corporate law. She specialized in both advising and litigating in this field.

Since June 2024, Xagan has been associated with AMS Advocaten, where she focuses on civil law advisory and litigation practice.

Track record

In September 2024, Xagan successfully represented a majority shareholder twice in disputes with a minority shareholder. Both disputes were ultimately resolved through the buyout of the minority shareholder.
In August 2024, Xagan advised a large wholesale company on their general terms and conditions, ensuring that they were fully in compliance with current laws and regulations.
In addition, Xagan regularly advises on the review of contracts in B2B relationships, striving for clear and legally sound agreements. For instance, Xagan frequently advised a distributor of high-end brands for skincare professionals and supported them in negotiating contracts with suppliers, which resulted in favorable terms for the client.
Xagan also regularly handles cases related to the interpretation of contracts and disputes arising after company acquisitions. Furthermore, she assists shareholders in disputes and the buyout of shareholders, guiding clients through complex situations and striving for optimal outcomes.

Practice areas register

Xagan has registered corporate law as her principal area of legal competence in the Netherlands Bar (NoVA) Areas of Legal Competence Register. Based on this registration, she is obliged to obtain ten training credits in the registered principal area of legal competence per calendar year, according to the standards of the Netherlands Bar.
