Kelly van Wees

Kelly has been working as a lawyer at AMS Advocaten since 2024. She studied at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where she completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Law (specialising in Private Law) cum laude. During her studies, she gained experience through internships at two medium-sized law firms and through her work as a legal adviser at two legal aid clinics.

Areas of expertise

Kelly assists (international) clients in disputes concerning corporate law matters or commercial contracts. Examples include disagreements over the interpretation of an agreement, a party failing to honour its commitments, or a client seeking to terminate a contract early. As Kelly frequently litigates, both in summary proceedings and in proceedings on the merits, she is also highly proficient in (prejudgment) attachment and enforcement law and private international law.
