Jari Bakx

Jari started his career as a legal officer for an international company and then worked as a self-employed entrepreneur. Since 2022, Jari has been working as an attorney-at-law. After completing his master's degree in Corporate Law (cum laude) at Radboud University, Jari started his career at A&O Shearman in Amsterdam (formerly Allen & Overy). There he focused on mergers and acquisitions in the private sector. As part of a team, Jari advised both domestic and foreign private equity funds and their portfolio companies, as well as companies active in the energy industry.

Specialism

At AMS Advocaten, Jari works in the corporate law department. Jari advises and litigates in commercial and corporate disputes and assists both national and international clients in transactions involving restructurings, acquisitions, and financings. In doing so, Jari handles both matters that concern the company itself (such as impasses within the general meeting of shareholders and directors' liability) and issues with external parties (such as envisaged cooperation or partnership, or, on the contrary, termination thereof with trade and investment partners, suppliers and customers).
