Confirmation

Confirmation takes place if an initially invalid (void) legal act still becomes valid.

A legal act is void if a statutory requirement set out for this legal act has not been met. If this requirement is still met after the execution of the legal act, the legal act is thereby confirmed. However, the persons involved must have regarded the legal act as valid in the interim.
