Trade name law

According to Dutch trade name law, a trade is the name used by a company to conduct its business

It is not allowed to trade under a name that is misleading in regards to the legal form of the company (e.g. using the term ‘limited’ while the company is a general partnership) or to the services or products provided. Furthermore the name may not be in violation of an already existing trademark right. In the Netherlands companies have to list their trade name in the Commercial Register of the Chamber of Commerce.
