Mutual insurance association

A mutual insurance association is a specific type of Dutch association incorporated by a notarial instrument as such.

The object of the association must be to enter into insurance agreements with her members, and act as insurance business to the benefit of her members. The object must be stated in the articles of association A document, drawn up when a Dutch company or legal person is set up, and which regulates the operations of the company and defines its purpose.
