Employment- and insolvency law Lawyer
Nynke has been working as a lawyer at AMS Advocaten since March 2021. Before and during her studies, she worked as a bankruptcy assistant and legal assistant at several medium-sized firms, including AMS Advocaten.
Nynke advises and litigates in the fields of insolvency law and employment law. She assists clients in all situations related to bankruptcy, such as offering and evaluating an agreement, restructuring and directors' liability. For example, she successfully represented a trustee in a lawsuit before the Court of Appeal where it was ruled that the directors of a foundation are liable for improper performance of their duties.
In addition, Nynke represents employers and employees (including statutory directors) in dismissal cases and provides advice on reorganisation and non-compete clauses, among other things.
Nynke is regularly appointed by the District Court of Amsterdam as a trustee in bankruptcies of businesses and individuals. In this role she has gained extensive experience in insolvency law, viewed from the perspective of the trustee as well as the bankrupt party, the directors, shareholders and financiers.
