Heleen acts as legal adviser and as litigator for both corporates and individuals. Her significant expertise includes finding practical solutions to complex matters.
Heleen received her master’s degree in Dutch law and an LLM in International Business Law from the University of Tilburg. She was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 2013, after clerking with two international law firms in Amsterdam and London.
Apart from working as a corporate attorney in the Netherlands, Heleen is regularly appointed by the District Court of Amsterdam as receiver in insolvencies. In this capacity, Heleen has also gained practical experience in insolvency matters. This significantly adds to her know-how when assisting companies in financial difficulties, directors and officers in directors liability matters, creditors and in debt collection.
Heleen is a member of JIRA, the Dutch Young Insolvency Lawyers Association and Young Financial Crime, which is a part of IFFC, the Dutch Institute For Financial Crime.
Besides Dutch, Heleen is fluent in English.
