Heleen Ceelen

Heleen Ceelen studied Law, Private Law and International Business Law at the University of Tilburg. After a few months of traineeship at leading law firms in Amsterdam and London, she has been practising as a lawyer at AMS Advocaten since 2013.

In addition to her daily law practice, Heleen is also an expert attached to the Dutch business news website BusinessInsider.nl.

Heleen is active in the areas of Dutch corporate law, Dutch insolvency law, Dutch contract law, and debt collection.

Trustee in bankruptcy in the Netherlands

Heleen is regularly appointed by the District Court of Amsterdam as the Dutch trustee in bankruptcies. This makes her the ideal lawyer to assist clients in (imminent) disputes with trustees and directors’ and officers’ liability issues. Heleen also regularly assists creditors and third parties in proceedings.
